Particles, Units & Practical Skills
Includes **Physical Quantities** (units, errors), **Scalars and Vectors**, and **Particle Physics** (atoms, nuclei, radiation). Practical skills are assessed in Paper 3.
A Level Content: Advanced Principles (Papers 4 and 5)
The A Level expands into fields, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and advanced applications.

Assessment Structure
The qualification can be achieved through staged assessment (AS then A2) or by taking all five papers in one series.
- **Paper 1 (MCQ):** 1 hr 15 mins | 31% AS Mark.
- **Paper 2 (Structured):** 1 hr 15 mins | 46% AS Mark.
- **Paper 3 (Practical):** 2 hours (2–3 experiments) | 23% AS Mark.
- **Paper 4 (Structured):** 2 hours | 38.5% A Level Mark (Assumes AS knowledge).
- **Paper 5 (Planning, Analysis, Evaluation):** 1 hr 15 mins | 11.5% A Level Mark (Based on experimental data).
